- This position is responsible for the preparation and management of
goals, objectives, budgets and results for two functional areas that
include both claims processing and customer service. Manages leadership
team to ensure efficient operations within performance standards,
corporate policies, regulatory guidelines and budget parameters.
- Establishes operational objectives for department or functional area and
participates with other managers to establish group objectives.
- Responsible for department results in terms of planning, cost and
methods.
- Provides developmental and training opportunities for team members;
monitors ongoing performance; communicates expectations and results on a
regular basis; maintains good communications within unit.
- Participates in the development and implementation of the annual budget
and manages costs to ensure compliance.
- Manages personnel matters such as resource planning, hiring, training,
performance evaluation, corrective counseling and termination.
- BA degree and five years related leadership experience and/or training,
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent human relations and verbal/written communication skills.
- Knowledge of on-line systems and flow of information in a high volume
production environment.
- Knowledge of health care operations and broad understanding of the
industry.
- Must be able to influence decision making both internally and
externally.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
- This position will require coordinating activities with multiple
vendors, partner Plans and clients to ensure desired outcomes based on
business priorities.
